A little Piece of Movie History... Marilyn Monroe:

The infamous ivory dress that the screen icon wore in the famous subway scene for the movie The Seven Year Itch was sold at an auction for a whopping $4.6 million! The iconic dress was auctioned off in Beverly Hills this weekend. The buyer had to pay $1 million in fees making the dress a grand total of $5.6 million!

So who would sell off this piece of movie history?!? The William Travilla - designed pleated halter dress was put up for sale by Hollywood legend, Debbie Reynolds. The 79 year-old starlet is an avid collector of  
actress and movie memorabilia.

Other pieces sold at auction including Monroe's red Gentlemen Prefer Blondes dress, which sold for $1.2 million; Audrey Hepburn's My Fair Lady Ascot dress, which raked in $3.7 million; and Judy Garland's blue Wizard of Oz dress used in test shots sold for $910,000.
