Fashion Breakdown: Madonna steals the Superbowl in Givenchy!

Pop diva Madonna was mesmerizing in three haute couture outfits by French fashion house Givenchy as the pop diva took the stage at the Superbowl halftime performance.
Madonna completely captivating by her series of show stopping outfits. Giving her signature fishnet & leotard look a night off, the singer turned to Italian designer Riccardo Tisci, creative director for French fashion house Givenchy, to hit do it rite for her first performance EVER at the Superbowl. EPIC!
Three different costumes were meticulously crafted by Tisci and Givenchy's team. All three costumes had to be changed on stage so this was an extremely thought threw process. There was no missing the ultimate queen of pop in the dazzling, floor-length gold cape, hand-embroidered with gold metal cut outs, studs, and crystals. Underneath she then revealed a black, silk mini-dress worn with a shortened leopard-print cape, also hand-embroidered with gold studs and crystals, pried with a black python hand-studded and embroidered belt. The next of her ensembles also included a black silk coat, hand-embroidered with black sequins and micro pearls. Adorning an intricate metal hat with gold embellished crystals completed her dramatic look. The whole performance was AMAZING!!!

Here are the sketches of the stunning garments that were custom made just for Madonna:

What first drew you to makeup?
I've always liked crafty things I guess it started cause I was insecure with myself so I dabbled in makeup, I wore alittle too much makeup, lol. I would spend hours doing different makeup looks I was always late to school and classes because I was perfecting my face.

Who do you idolize most in the makeup industry?
I really don't have a favorite makeup artist. I'm inspired by tons of people and things but im most appreciative and grateful to have had wonderful teachers orlando santiago and paul mafuz.
If you could have your pick  at any celebrity who would you MOST want to work with?
Mariah Carey!!! Because she's an angel and an amazing talent, also Lady Gaga so I can be able to get crazy with makeup!

What are three MUST HAVES when it comes to makeup for you?
HHHmmm... Hard one foundation, mascara, and bronzer!!! But I'm addicted to Bare Essentials where I currently work. <3

I Love Lucy!

The influences and trends of the 1940's & 50's are working today's runways for this fall:

Other than the hilarious faces that Lucille Ball constantly wore so well in every episode, I LOVE "I Love Lucy" for the gorgeous and timeless dresses and put together suits Lucy wore on the show. What ever happened to women wearing dresses during the day with their hair and makeup all done, sporting some of their finest jewelry, only to just run uptown for a few errands?... We need more of that!

Miss Ball still looks ohh so chic even when getting herself into crazy shenanigans!

In this "I Love Lucy" episode, in which Ricky and Fred tricked Lucy and Ethel into wearing potato sacks by claiming they were "Marcel originals". Was in itself a satire on Cristobal Balenciaga's innovative "sack" dress, introduced to the world in 1956. Looks like fashion has come full circle!
